Privacy Policy

Effective September 13, 2026

Wilmot Labs LLC ("we") builds iOS apps designed so that your personal information stays with you. This policy covers all of our apps and this website. The short version: we do not collect, store, sell, or share your personal data, because our apps are built not to send it to us in the first place.

What applies to every Wilmot Labs app

Our Chicago parking app (street sweeping and winter ban alerts)

Location

The app uses your device's location for one purpose: figuring out which street section your car is parked in so it can check the right schedule. That lookup happens entirely on your phone. Your location is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and the app does not track where you go.

Schedule data

Street sweeping schedules and winter ban corridors come from the City of Chicago's public data. The app ships with this data on board and periodically refreshes it with an anonymous download. That request contains no personal information and works like loading any public web page.

What we could see

Nothing about you. We have no servers that receive user data. Saved locations, your parked car pin, and your settings live only on your device and disappear if you delete the app.

Our Illinois gaming data app

Age

The app is intended for adults 21 and over and asks you to confirm your age. It displays public data about video gaming terminals; it does not offer gambling, wagering, or any way to spend money on gaming.

Location

If you allow location access, it is used on your device to sort nearby establishments by distance. Your location is never transmitted to us or to anyone else.

Machine data

All statistics shown in the app come from public reports published by the Illinois Gaming Board. The app downloads this public dataset anonymously; the request contains no personal information.

Your session log

If you choose to log your own sessions, those entries are stored only on your device. We never see them, they are not backed up to our servers (we do not have any), and they are deleted when you delete the app.

Responsible gaming

If gambling stops being fun, help is available. Call or text 1-800-GAMBLER, or visit ncpgambling.org. In Illinois, you can also learn about the Self-Exclusion Program at igb.illinois.gov.

This website

wilmotlabs.llc is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and collects nothing. It is hosted on GitHub Pages; GitHub may log standard technical information like IP addresses as part of operating the service, as described in GitHub's privacy statement.

Children

Our apps are not directed at children. The gaming data app is restricted to users 21 and over.

Changes

If we ever change how an app handles data, we will update this policy and the effective date above before the change ships. Because our apps do not collect personal data, we expect changes here to be rare and boring.
